Company to Provide Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Solutions
RESTON, Va., Dec. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), a national security, health and engineering solutions company, was awarded a prime contract by the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) to provide intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) solutions in support of USSOCOM special operations forces acquisition, technology and logistics. The multiple-award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, firm fixed-price, and cost-plus fixed-fee contract has a five year base period of performance and a total contract ceiling of $750,000,000 for all awardees. Work will be performed primarily in Charleston, SC. Leidos is one of four contractors eligible to compete for delivery orders under the contract.
USSOCOM is the Unified Combatant Command charged with overseeing the various Special Operations Component Commands of the Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps of the United States Armed Forces. Under the contract, Leidos will provide ISR solutions including: hardware and modifications; specialized communication solutions and networks; signals processing capabilities; and systems integration.
