"Local job creators and business leaders are vital to our nation's economic growth, and Carfax is an engine that helps drive the Mid-Missouri economy," said Senator Blunt. "In Washington, I am fighting for pro-growth policies that provide more certainty and incentivize job creators like Carfax to invest, expand their businesses, and hire new workers so that we can jumpstart our economy and put more Americans back to work."
Carfax showed off the immense data storage capabilities at its Data Center and highlighted the company's history and community involvement efforts during Sen. Blunt's tour. Founded in Columbia in 1986, Carfax offers an annual summer internship program, is helping to lead local businesses in renewable energy participation and its employees regularly donate time at local charities.
"As the number one place to work in Columbia according to Inside Columbia Magazine, Carfax is honored that Senator Blunt came to visit our Data Center," said Joedy Lenz, vice president of Carfax. "The Senator heard about how we help buyers and sellers of used cars and wanted to come see what we were doing. We love Columbia and we're really happy to be part of the community."
In addition to expanding its current facility, Carfax is adding up to 50 new jobs within the next five years.
