WASHINGTON, Aug. 29, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- With the focus on Colorado, Ambassador John Bolton endorses and makes PAC contributions to U.S. Senate candidate Rep. Cory Gardner and House candidate Rep. Mike Coffman. Colorado is at the intersection of national security with military instillations including the U.S. Air Force Academy and three major Air Force bases, along with energy resources.
"National security includes energy policy and Colorado is at the center of energy security," said Bolton. "It is vital the right leaders are elected to represent Coloradans and their interests in Washington."
Bolton on Gardner, "America's domestic energy resources have a direct impact on our national security, and as a member of the House of Representatives Cory has a record of introducing and passing legislation that protects our energy security. The Senate needs Cory's leadership, and I believe he will soon be the junior senator from Colorado."
Bolton on Coffman, "Mike is a veteran of the Army and Marine Corps (and both Reserve components), and he is the only member of Congress to serve in both Iraq wars. He is deeply involved with veterans' affairs and is a leader on the House Armed Services Committee. I know Mike and have no doubt he will continue to be the best representative for Colorado's 6th district."
Bolton is committed to supporting candidates for elected office who believe in protecting the United States' vital freedoms at home by securing American interests in a challenging world. The John Bolton PAC and the John Bolton Super PAC have raised a combined $4.5 million to date with over $3 million cash on hand.
Statement from Gardner: "I'm excited that Ambassador Bolton has endorsed my campaign and appreciate his confidence in my message to Coloradans. We share a commitment to freedom and a desire to ensure America is respected throughout the world. As crises in the Middle East and Ukraine deepen, we need strong leadership at home to prepare us for the further global challenges that lie ahead."
Statement from Coffman: "I appreciate Ambassador John Bolton's service to our nation and his clear-eyed view of the threat our runaway debt and indecisive foreign policy pose to America's standing in the world. I'm honored to receive his endorsement."
Ambassador Bolton's PAC has endorsed and made contributions to 25 candidates, including U.S. Senate candidates Dan Sullivan (AK), David Perdue (GA), Rep. Bill Cassidy (LA), former Sen. Scott Brown (NH), Thom Tillis (NC), Ed Gillespie (VA), Rep.
