U.S. Postal Service Offers 'Everyday Heroes' Greeting Cards
Patriotism-Themed Cards Available at Select Post Offices
WASHINGTON, Aug. 26, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The U.S. Postal Service now is offering a line of patriotism-themed greeting cards called Everyday Cards for Everyday Heroes. Featuring "Americana"-styled photographs and sentiments such as "Freedom is so rarely free," the cards are an ideal way to recognize military personnel, public servants and first responders such as firefighters, police officers and emergency medical technicians.
"We often take for granted the great personal sacrifices, dedication and heroic efforts of our servicemen and service women and first responders who protect our country everyday," said Kelly Sigmon, vice president, Channel Access. "Everyday Cards for Everyday Heroes are perfect for those who have selflessly touched our lives."
According to Sigmon, the cards also are ideal for thanking medical professionals, teachers, volunteers, parents and other everyday heroes who go above and beyond to serve their communities.
Everyday Cards for Everyday Heroes come in eight designs and sell for $2.95 each. They are available across the nation in 10,000 select Post Offices.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
