U.S. Patent Issued to Clear Align for Laser for ISR Applications
EAGLEVILLE, Pa., Nov. 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Clear Align, a leader in imaging and laser systems, announced today that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has issued patent number 8,064,491 for its apparatus and method for generating short optical pulse generation. This patent describes a laser architecture with shorter pulses and higher optical power that provides improved resistant to shock and vibration. This architecture is thus well-suited to battlefield and other high-reliability applications. The technology, developed by Dr. Ralph Jameson, is geared toward the advancement of systems and devices for LIDAR, remote sensing, laser altimeters, laser range finding, and medical procedures.
