U.S. Military All Stars Honor the Sacrifices of Hometown Heroes
Karl Seiter Leads 2013 Red, White & Blue Tour
OMAHA, Neb., July 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The U.S. Military All Stars have a new General Manager 28-year-old Karl Seiter, known in baseball as "The Hammer." Seiter, who served as an Army Ranger through five tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan, also is the team's coach.
"Karl, a Purple Heart recipient, was wounded during his service to our country. To this day, he has shrapnel in his back, but you won't hear him complaining," said Commander Tank Stone, who serves on the U.S. Military All Stars board of directors.
The U.S. Military All Stars play games throughout the U.S. to bring heroes to hometowns, and promote honor and glory of our armed forces, Wounded Warriors and families of fallen heroes.
"Karl is determined to keep this team on the road, sacrificing everything, for the Red White and Blue Tour," Stone said.
The U.S. Military All Stars received their official 501c3 charitable status on June 23. The organization's mission is to promote the awareness of Americans in support of the honorable sacrifices our armed forces make, at the tip of the spear.
"We do this through our sponsors and individuals who are willing to donate and assist the tour in paying for the high cost of travel, motels, uniforms and other expenses we incur," Stone said.
To learn more about the tour and how you can assist the team, go online to www.USMilitaryAllStars.US. Special packages are available: Available online at www.MilitarySluggers.com. Receive a commemorative USA Camo Hat for a $25 donation, or donate $50 and receive a hat and Commemorative Collectors Coin.
The U.S. Military All Stars team is comprised of active duty personnel from all branches of service and is not funded by the Military. Players are required to raise funds to pay their own way. The players show a different kind of courage and drive that exemplifies our men and women in uniform. "They support returning Veterans, Wounded Warriors and families of Fallen Heroes," Stone said. The players are competitive, driven and friendly. They provide the true spirit of our Military and Country, for the enjoyment of hometown families and friends.
Thanks to all who support us. God Bless America.
