WINDSOR, Conn., June 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- SS&C Technologies Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq:SSNC), a global provider of financial services software and software-enabled services, today announced that the United States Department of Justice ("DOJ") cleared the pending acquisition of Advent Software, Inc. ("Advent") by SS&C, terminating the waiting period imposed by the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976, as amended ("HSR Act"). The clearance follows the issuance of a Second Request by the DOJ, which occurred on April 23, 2015. Subject to the satisfaction of other closing conditions, SS&C expects the closing of the transaction to occur in the third quarter of 2015.
