U.S. Department of Energy Senior Official to Speak on Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles at National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
WASHINGTON, Oct. 3, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On October 5, David Friedman, Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), will speak on the history and future plans of the DOE's hydrogen and fuel cell program at the National Press Club. Automakers and hydrogen infrastructure providers will also discuss their latest plans and progress.
At the end of the briefing, participants will be invited to view two of the world's first commercial fuel cell electric vehicles – the Hyundai Tucson and the Toyota Mirai.
Chosen to represent the atomic weight of hydrogen (1.008), National Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Day is officially held on October 8th and will include numerous events around the country held by industry and government throughout the week.
