US Dataworks Announces the First National Bankers Bank Leverages Bankers Bank Image Exchange Network Powered by Clearingworks
HOUSTON, Nov. 4, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- US Dataworks, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: UDWK), a leading provider of Enterprise Payment solutions to financial institutions, billers and government entities, today announced that First National Bankers Bankshares, Inc. (FNBB), based in Louisiana, is leveraging The Bankers Bank's (TBB) image exchange network, powered by Clearingworks®. Oklahoma City-based TBB deployed Clearingworks earlier this year to provide check image exchange services for its own community bank and correspondent bank customers, as well as those of other banker's banks.
Extending its portfolio of high-quality correspondent services, FNBB is leveraging Clearingworks to provide check image exchange services for community banks in Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi.
John Connelly, Senior Vice President and COO of FNBB, commented, "Using Clearingworks through TBB allows us to provide powerful, competitively priced image clearing services to our member banks, while reducing our operational overhead. By outsourcing the operation of our image clearing network, we can better focus on our core competency of serving the management and financial needs of community banks in the states we serve."
For TBB, today's announcement is a major step in its strategic initiative to offer check image clearing services to other banker's banks. "Clearingworks well positions us to not only meet the needs of our community bank and correspondent clients, but to provide an attractive, value-priced service that our colleague banker's banks across the country can leverage," commented Mark Keeling, Executive Vice President and COO for TBB. The addition of FNBB more than doubles the volume of TBB's check image clearing network.
In addition to validating the demand for its clearing services from other banker's banks, today's announcement demonstrates the ease at which TBB can on-board other banker's banks. TBB implemented FNBB in less than 30 days, with all of its clients' check image exchange volume running on the Clearingworks system less than one week later. TBB expects to improve on these implementation times as it refines its on-boarding process.
Mario Villarreal, President and COO of US Dataworks, added, "We are pleased that banker's banks continue to see the value of Clearingworks. Its unique functionality, ease of implementation, and competitive pricing make it an ideal solution as the banking industry migrates to electronic clearing."
US Dataworks believes that a key benefit of Clearingworks is the ability for banker's banks to meet tighter processing windows, by accelerating the processing of image cash letters. And, since Clearingworks is designed to handle a full range of deposit volumes and types of transactions, banker's banks can use Clearingworks to streamline the handling of automated clearing house (ACH) deposits, lockbox deposits, and remotely-captured deposits. Clearingworks Image Exchange Network is available in an on-premise solution or in a SaaS environment through TBB.
