TEMPE, Ariz., Jan. 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- US Airways (NYSE: LCC) today announced the appointment of David Endicott to vice president, IT infrastructure. This appointment replaces an open position and has been approved by the airline's Board of Directors. Endicott will oversee US Airways' data center operations, network operations and field support functions. He will also work with various vendors that provide network and systems services.

Endicott brings more than 25 years of experience in information technology to US Airways. His experience includes 12 years with Sabre Holdings, Inc., during which he was vice president, global infrastructure; vice president, airline solutions and senior vice president/chief technology officer, airline solutions. While at Sabre his responsibilities included technology strategy development, oversight of application/infrastructure architecture, product strategy and business plan development. Previously he spent 10 years with Electronic Data Systems where he held several positions including divisional vice president, technical infrastructure.
Endicott earned his bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Accounting and master's degree in Social Work from Wayne State University in Detroit. He will be based at the airline's corporate headquarters in Tempe, Ariz.
