Update on NASA Astronaut Scott Kelly's Return to Houston

WASHINGTON, March 2, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- NASA astronaut Scott Kelly now is expected to return to Houston at about 12:55 a.m. EST Thursday (11:55 p.m. CST Wednesday, March 2), based on the current transportation plan. NASA Television will broadcast Kelly's arrival back on U.S. soil after an agency record-setting stay in space aboard the International Space Station. Coverage begins at 12:40 a.m.

Second Lady of the United States Dr. Jill Biden, Assistant to the President for Science and Technology Dr. John P. Holdren, NASA Administrator Charles Bolden, and Kelly's identical twin brother and former NASA astronaut Mark Kelly will be in Houston to welcome Kelly home. The event will be pooled press only.
