UPDATE FOR WEDNESDAY: Obama Cabinet Member to visit Memphis, Tenn., Helena, Ark., and Clarksdale, Miss., as part of Main Street Road Tour

WASHINGTON, July 5, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Maria Contreras-Sweet, Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration will visit Memphis, Tenn., Helena, Ark., and Clarksdale, Miss. on July 6^th as part of her five-day Delta Region Main Street Road Tour which will take her to five states and 11 cities. She will finish up in New Orleans on Friday, July 8.   

While in Memphis she will meet with the Mayor and other officials as she takes a walking tour of Beale St. and visit Tennessee's 2016 SBA Minority Business of the Year. After her visit to Memphis she will travel to Helena, Ark., where she will be met by the mayor and other officials for a walking tour on Cherry St. and will get to visit and interact with several small businesses.  Later that afternoon Contreras-Sweet will be in Clarksdale, Miss. where she will be part of a discussion on "Small Business Lending in the Delta" and will take a walking tour of the city and a visit to the Delta Blues Museum.

• Cherry St. walking tour with Mayor Jay Hollowell and local officials. Visit several  local small businesses.

WHERE: Clarksdale, Miss.

4:05 – 4:30 p.m. (Starting point - Cat Head Delta Blues and Folk Art, Inc - 252 Delta Ave., Clarksdale, Miss.)

• Small business walking tour of Clarksdale with Mayor Bill Luckett.

4:30 - 5 p.m. (1 Blues Alley, Clarksdale, Miss)
