UPDATE: Bipartisan Policy Center to Release New Congressional Redistricting Report Day Before Election
Report Shows Lowest Number of Competitive Seats in 40 Years
WASHINGTON, Nov. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) will resume its 2012 Election Series at an event to discuss key congressional races and release a report on redistricting the day before Election Day on Monday, November 5, 2012 at 9:00AM.
The report will outline the impact of the 2012 redistricting cycle on the number of competitive seats and the make-up of the House of Representatives.
The discussion will feature two former congressmen, Rep. Tom Davis (R-VA) who also served as a chair on the National Republican Congressional Committee, and Rep. Martin Frost (D-TX), who previously served as a chair on the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Secretary Dan Glickman, BPC Senior Fellow and former Representative from Kansas will make introductions and John Fortier, Director of BPC's Democracy Project will moderate the panel.
