NEW YORK, March 5, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- Who Runs the World?: Unlocking the Talent and Inventiveness of Women Everywhere by Lois Quam is now available. The book is published with Forbes Books, the exclusive business book publishing imprint of Forbes, and is available today on Amazon.
The world races towards crises and complex problems with one hand tied behind its back. Across the globe, women have their voices silenced and their autonomy taken away from them. In Lois Quam's book, Who Runs the World?, the CEO and global healthcare expert explains the practical ways that men and women everywhere can help.
"In these pages, I reflect on what more can be done to change the circumstances of women and girls—most of the world's people—so all of us have the opportunity and the necessary support that must accompany any genuine opportunity, to choose the trajectory of our lives," Quam said. "It's about time that we do this. For our own sake. For the sake of others. For the global good."
Quam's methods and philosophy have earned Who Runs the World? endorsements from people including Hillary Rodham Clinton, 67th U.S. Secretary of State, and David Miliband, President and CEO, International Rescue Committee; 74th U.K. Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs. Her book explores the issues women and girls face and the best approaches to solving them.
Who Runs the World? is broken into three parts:
- What Was
- What Is
- What Could Be
Quam's book is sounding a wakeup call for the realities women face but it is also a message of hope and inspiration. Drawing on her extensive experience tackling global healthcare challenges, Quam brings a personal perspective to the hard data and meaningful solutions to problems that we can, and must, solve.
