ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences (USAHS), a leading graduate institution that emphasizes health and rehabilitative sciences education through innovative classroom education, is pleased to share that a group of its renowned faculty instructors will participate in one of the most prominent online learning conferences in the world, Online Learning Consortium (OLC). The panel, titled "The Koffee Klatch: a virtual drink with three pumps community and two pumps professional development" will be presented on Thursday, Nov. 17 at 3:15 p.m. ET and will be available via livestream at onlinelearningconsortium.org.
Led by Dr. Karen Rathgeber, Director of the Post Professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy, presenters will also include Dr. Jordan Utley, Program Director and Associate Professor of the Master of Health Science and Athletic Training Programs, Dr. Robin Dennison, Director of Master of Science in Nursing, Dr. Cindy Mathena, Vice President of Academic Operations and Dean of Post Professional Studies, Dr. Judi Schack-Dugre, Director of Master and Doctor of Healthcare Administration Programs and Kimberly Springfield, Instructional Designer.
The team was invited to host a panel discussion on the virtual workforce due to their expertise in online and remote teaching. Joined by fellow online instructors from other universities, the instructors will discuss the evolving virtual workforce, with focus on faculty development and the mentorship of future leaders.
The panel will present a remote-support-model, as well as benefits and challenges from multiple perspectives, including on-campus and remote leaders including faculty and program directors.
