HERNDON, Va., Nov. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- MicroPact Inc., the global leader in Data-First™ Case Management and Business Process Management (BPM) software, will present a new case study titled "Achieving Digital Business Transformation at the University of British Columbia" at the Gartner Business Process Management Summit, which will take place Dec. 10-12 in Las Vegas.
MicroPact is a Premier Sponsor of the annual BPM Summit, which brings together IT leaders from commercial and government sectors, as well as leading researchers and analysts. MicroPact's Solution Provider Session will feature Anthony Roggeveen, Senior Manager, Application Services at the University of British Columbia, and Bob Ragsdale, VP, Marketing at MicroPact. (The event is scheduled for 3:15 PM PST on Thursday, Dec. 11, in Augustus III at Caesar's Palace.)
The interactive discussion will focus on how the Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia, which serves more than 9,000 students, faculty and staff, conducted a comprehensive search – seeking input from leading industry analysts as well as detailed evaluations of several technology options – before selecting MicroPact's entellitrak, a unified platform for Case Management and BPM, to be configured and implemented as its Resident Management System.
One of the goals of the Faculty of Medicine is to meet British Columbia's need for more physicians, and since 2004, it has more than doubled its medical student enrollment to become the fifth-largest MD program in North America. As a publicly-funded institution, it sought to craft smart and agile business processes that sustainably support those and other academic activities across the province. The highly specialized environment made it appear that the desired digital transformation might not be possible through the use of a commercial-off-the-shelf software solution. Roggeveen will discusses specifics of how his IT organization engaged stakeholders, developed requirements, and collectively identified the right technology to reinvent digital operations.
"Anthony provides a unique perspective on what most large enterprises go through in order to clearly define their needs and properly identify the best possible solutions for those needs," said Kris Collo, CEO, President & Founder of MicroPact. "We're looking forward to having him share his story and real-world tips with attendees at this year's BPM Summit."
