Universal Travel Group's Chairwoman and CEO Elected as a Committee Member in Shenzhen's Fifth Annual Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference
SHENZHEN, China, June 1 /PRNewswire-Asia-FirstCall/ -- Universal Travel Group (NYSE: UTA) ("Universal Travel Group" or the "Company"), a leading travel services provider in China, today announced that the Company's Chairwoman and CEO, Ms. Jiangping Jiang, was elected as a committee member in Shenzhen's fifth annual Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) as a representative from the circle of The All-China Women's Federation.
CPPCC committee members are selected through consultation and recommendation, and represent various sectors of society in China, have social influence and are capable of participating in the deliberation and administration of state affairs. CPPCC members are required to maintain close ties with the public, to get acquainted with and report the public's desires and demands and to attend meetings and participate in activities organized by the CPPCC committees of which they are members.
