Universal Services of America Lands on the Los Angeles Business Journal's Best Places to Work List of 2013

SANTA ANA, Calif., Sept. 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Universal Services of America, one of the largest providers of security services in the U.S., was recently named as one of the 2013 Best Places to Work in Los Angeles. This county-wide survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Los Angeles, benefiting the county's economy, its workforce and businesses.

Universal Services of America ranked number 30 in the large company category. Companies from across the county entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in Los Angeles. The first part consisted of evaluating each company's workplace policies, practices, and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking.
