Universal Lubricants ECO ULTRA® Recycled Motor Oil Now Offered at Econo Lube N' Tune & Brakes
WICHITA, Kan., Sept. 12, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- In a business alliance that promises to redefine the automotive aftercare market, Universal Lubricants and Econo Lube N' Tune & Brakes have joined forces to ensure that car maintenance not only tends to engines' needs, but those of the environment, as well. Beginning with the East Quincy Avenue location (Aurora, CO), Econo Lube N' Tune & Brakes will be offering recycled, American Petroleum Institute (API) backed ECO ULTRA® motor oil to its loyal and ever expanding customer base. Made in the U.S. at the Universal Lubricants' state-of-the art re-refinery, ECO ULTRA® is an green motor oil option that preserves finite natural resources and reduces the need to import oil, all while guaranteeing optimal engine performance.
"For the past thirty years, auto enthusiasts have recognized Econo Lube N' Tune & Brakes as the leading 'one stop shop' specializing in car maintenance and repair needs. We've earned that reputation by priding ourselves on the ability to quickly and aptly address clients' automotive needs with affordable, hassle-free and—above all—friendly car-care service," said Hazrat Ali Jr. of Econo Lube N' Tune & Brakes, Aurora. "And so, we search for partnerships that value the same priorities, which we believe are embodied by the ECO ULTRA® line: ECO ULTRA® boasts unmatched product quality, hits a price-point we consider friendly to our clients' wallets and is sustainably manufactured to be environmentally-friendly, too. We're proud to offer ECO ULTRA®— a winning green car-care solution."
Utilizing a tightly controlled closed-loop process, Universal Lubricants collects used motor oil from government and private businesses such as auto parts stores, dealerships, service stations and oil change centers across the U.S. Transported to the company's state-of-the-art refinery in Wichita, Kansas, the spent oil is cleansed of impurities including metals, asphalt flux and other heavy contaminants. Emerging as a top-quality Grade II base stock, the oil is then blended with a robust additive package to make API certified ECO ULTRA® motor oils and lubricants that meet SAE requirements and current vehicle manufacturers' specifications. Finally, the company's ECO ULTRA® products undergo rigorous lab examinations to guarantee reliability before being re-distributed, completing the infinitely repeatable, self-sustaining car-care cycle.
"Universal Lubricants both admires and emulates—Econo Lube N' Tune & Brakes' ability to balance convenience with the highest sophistication of service," said John Wesley, chief executive officer of Universal Lubricants. "ECO ULTRA® provides the expediency of scheduled spent oil pickups and deliveries—part of our proprietary closed-loop cycle—and the sophistication of a product that offers unrivaled performance while simultaneously benefitting the environment and the economy."
The U.S. produces approximately 1.3 billion gallons of used oil each year, and only 10% of it is re-refined. The rest of the used oil is either improperly disposed of (damaging the environment) or burned as an industrial fuel and is gone forever. Universal Lubricants and Econo Lube N' Tune & Brakes together are working to reverse this trend.
