Universal Hotel Liquidators to Relocate to West Haven CT
NEW HAVEN, Conn., June 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Universal Hotel Liquidators is moving from State Street in New Haven to Route 1 in West Haven. UHL will now be situated in the big-box location which had formerly been occupied by Dadd's Xtreme Indoor Sports. The new building, located at 855 Boston Post Road in West Haven, CT has 60,375 square feet of commercial and retail space. David White, owner of UHL, had this to say about the move, "The extra space the new building will provide, along with its ample parking lot will better suit our retail showroom and allow us to offer an enhanced shopping experience for our patrons. The Boston Post Road is the mecca for retail, and we look forward to relocating there."
At its new location, UHL will be offering incredible prices and thrift sensibilities seven days a week. The move will also introduce a small number of new jobs to the area. The Mayor of West Haven had this to say.
"I am delighted to roll out the red carpet and welcome Universal Hotel Liquidators to its new home in Connecticut's Friendliest City," said Mayor John M. Picard. "The addition of UHL, which is strategically located on the bustling Route 1 corridor about a half-mile from the University of New Haven campus, will grow our grand list of taxable property and yield much-needed tax revenue for the city."
To commemorate the move to West Haven, UHL will be holding what David White is calling, "the largest furniture liquidation in Connecticut history." UHL has liquidated hundreds of hotels in the past fourteen years and they have thousands of rooms worth of furniture, including desks, couches, chairs, tables, lamps and fine bed sets, all on sale to ease the move. "We have over 100,000 square feet of furniture that we need to sell or move." They intend to sell as much as possible, so be on the lookout for upcoming announcements from this thriving furniture store. Businesses and consumers can receive alerts by signing up for UHL's newsletter, following them on Twitter, subscribing to their furniture blog, and by liking them on Facebook.
