UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team Proud to Renew Partnership with Pioneer Cycle Sports for Power Meters and Data Analytics for 2017 season
OAKLAND, Calif., Feb. 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- After three successful seasons working with Pioneer Cycle Sports HD Power Meters, UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team is excited to renew its technical partnership for a fourth year.
"We are happy to have Pioneer on our bikes again this year, and onboard as the team's official 'Power, Data and Technology Equipment Supplier'. The data we get from the power meters is helping us improve our sporting analytics, and our program overall," said Thierry Attias, President of Momentum Sports Group.
"Cycling is one of the most advanced sports in the world when it comes to technical data analysis. Having the support of Pioneer with their power meter technology on our bikes is paramount in monitoring and guiding our athletes' training and race performance. In my role as High Performance Director, I am able to stay engaged with their form progress on the physiological side, monitor fatigue levels, and delve deeper into efficiency factors by analyzing each rider's pedal stroke," said Ben Day.
The Pioneer system has proven its durability and reliability in the toughest of environments, ensuring the team doesn't lose data to wet or harsh race conditions. HDPower Metrics from the Pioneer system offer deep insight into athlete form and growth with dual leg monitoring capabilities. Paired with Pioneer's Cycle Computer and Cyclo-Sphere, the post-ride analysis software, the power meter system is a complete ecosystem of athlete performance measurement and a necessary tool for improvement.
The Pioneer HD Power Meters are on both the men's and women's team 2017 Orbea Orca road bikes, and Orbea Ordu time trial bikes.
