United Way Presents Transwestern With Impact Award For Its Transformation Of 300 Kimball Drive

Improvements Furthered Facility's Ability to Attract/Retain More Than 1,200 Jobs

PARSIPPANY, N.J., May 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Transwestern today announces it has received the Impact Award from United Way of Northern New Jersey for its transformation of 300 Kimball Drive into a first-class, multi-tenant office facility. The building has since attracted or retained more than 1,200 jobs for Parsippany. Transwestern, which provides management and leasing services for the building, was honored May 1 at the United Way Commercial Real Estate Network Legacy Luncheon.

Recognizing the need for premier office properties in the suburbs, Transwestern completed a comprehensive capital improvement program at 300 Kimball Drive that facilitated in the retention of 800 positions and attracted more than 400 new jobs. The building updates included fully redeveloping the lobby and adding a state-of-the-art fitness center, as well as extensive upgrades to modernize the building's existing eat-in bistro.

As part of its plan for the 400,000-square-foot space, the firm also implemented numerous strategies aimed at strengthening the building's performance in sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality. In 2013, the building was honored with LEED^® Silver certification, and for the last three years, it has maintained an ENERGY STAR^® rating of 96. Since implementing these changes, Transwestern has signed several tenants to long-term leases in the building, including Fiserv Inc., FM Global, Nicon LLC and a national professional services firm.
