United Technologies Research Center Scientists Elected to Connecticut Academy of Science and Engineering
EAST HARTFORD, Conn., Feb. 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- United Technologies Research Center (UTRC), the research and innovation arm of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX), today announced the elections of two UTRC Senior Fellows, Dr. Sergei Burlatsky and Dr. Om Sharma, into the Connecticut Academy of Science and Engineering (CASE).
The main objectives of CASE are to provide information and advice about science and technology to the government, industry and people of Connecticut and also to encourage an interest in science, engineering and technology in young people.

CASE was established in 1976 as a private nonprofit corporation. Its membership is limited to 400 people, each of whom must live or work in the state of Connecticut. New members are elected by current membership based upon distinguished accomplishments in science, engineering or technology.
