United States Mint to Launch Quarter Honoring Homestead National Monument of America Feb. 10
WASHINGTON, Jan. 29, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The United States Mint will join the National Park Service to launch the America the Beautiful Quarters® Program coin honoring Homestead National Monument of America, at 10 a.m. Central Standard Time (CST) Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015, at Beatrice High School in Beatrice, Neb. Invited guests include Nebraska Lt. Gov. Mike Foley and City of Beatrice Mayor Stan Wirth. The free event will culminate in a coin exchange, where the public can trade cash for $10 rolls of newly minted Homestead National Monument of America quarters.

Coin Forum
The United States Mint will host a coin forum the evening before the launch ceremony — 6-7 p.m. (CST) Monday, Feb. 9 — at Homestead National Monument of America Education Center, 8523 West State Highway 4, Beatrice, Neb. 68310. The coin forum is an opportunity for members of the public to express their views about future coinage, and to learn about upcoming United States Mint coin programs and initiatives.
The Homestead National Monument of America is the 26th release in the United States Mint America the Beautiful Quarters® Program, a 12-year initiative to honor 56 national parks and other national sites authorized by Public Law 110-456. Each year, the public will see five new national sites depicted on the reverse (tails side) of the America the Beautiful Quarters. The United States Mint is issuing these quarters in the order in which the national sites were officially established.
