United States Mint to Launch Hot Springs National Park Quarter April 20
First Coin in America the Beautiful Quarters(TM) Program to be Presented on Park's 178th Anniversary
WASHINGTON, April 7 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The United States Mint will join National Park Service officials on Tuesday, April 20, to launch the first coin in the America the Beautiful Quarters™ Program honoring Hot Springs National Park. The ceremony, which will take place on the park's 178th anniversary, will be held in front of the Administration Building at 10 a.m. Central Time (CT). A coin exchange will immediately follow the event. Cash can be exchanged for $10 rolls of the Hot Springs National Park America the Beautiful Quarter at face value.

The United States Mint will hold a Coin Forum on Monday evening, April 19, at 5 p.m. (CT). The Coin Forum is an opportunity for the public to express their views about future coinage, and to learn about upcoming United States Mint coin programs and initiatives. The event will be held at the Quapaw Bath House, 413 Bathhouse Row, Hot Springs, AR, 71901.
The America the Beautiful Quarters Program, authorized by public Law 110-456, is a 12-year initiative to honor 56 national parks and other national sites. Each year, the public will see five new national sites depicted on the reverse (tails side) of the America the Beautiful Quarters. The United States Mint will issue these quarters in the order in which the honored site was first established as a national site.
