United States Mint Introduces Yosemite National Park Quarter July 29
WASHINGTON, July 27 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Join the United States Mint as it continues its journey to "Connect America through Coins" on July 29, for the launch of the Yosemite National Park quarter-dollar coin. The ceremony, co-hosted by National Park Service officials, will kick off at 11:00 a.m. Pacific Time (PT) at the Valley Visitor Center. Following the ceremony, the public can exchange their cash for $10 rolls of the Yosemite National Park America the Beautiful Quarter.

The evening before the launch ceremony—Wednesday, July 28—the United States Mint will hold a Coin Forum from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. (PT). The Coin Forum is an opportunity for the public to meet Director Moy, to learn about upcoming United States Mint coin programs and initiatives and to express their views about future U.S. coinage. The event will be held in the courtyard behind the Valley Visitor Center, Yosemite Village Loop, Yosemite, CA 95389.
The America the Beautiful Quarters™ Program, authorized by public Law 110-456, is a 12-year initiative to honor 56 national parks and other national sites. Each year, the public will see five new national sites depicted on the reverse (tails side) of the America the Beautiful Quarters. The United States Mint will issue these quarters in the order in which the honored site was first established as a national site.
