United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Appoints Board Member Martha Montoya as Western Regional Chair
WASHINGTON, Sept. 20 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) is delighted to announce the appointment of board member Martha Montoya to the Chairmanship of the organization's Western region (Region I), which encompasses California, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Idaho, Alaska and Hawaii. Montoya also serves as Secretary of the National Latina Business Women Association and as Procurement Chair for the National Association of Hispanic Publications.

She brings experience as well as boundless energy to the position, in addition to detailed knowledge in such critical areas as procurement and access to capital. Montoya's accomplishments have brought her numerous accolades. Among the many honors she has received are the Latin Business Association Latina Entrepreneur of the Year, and the Hispanic Businesswoman of the Year for 2002 by the California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Among many other awards, Martha was honored by Hispanic Magazine in 2003 as one of the 100 most influential people in the U.S. market, and as National Latina Business Woman of the year in 2007.
Montoya owns and directs a unique media enterprise, Los Kitos Entertainment LLC, which syndicates the popular Los Kitos bilingual cartoon strip; licenses the characters through United Media and utilizes these characters to bring "edu-entertainment" to the U.S. Hispanic community.
