United States Coast Guard Selects ValueOptions® to Provide Employee Assistance Program Services
EAP Serves 60,000 US Coast Guard Active Duty and Reserve Service Members, Civilian Employees and Their Families
NORFOLK, Va., April 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- ValueOptions®, a health improvement company that specializes in mental and emotional wellbeing and recovery, today announced that the United States Coast Guard selected the company, a Federal Prime Contractor, to deliver expanded Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services to 60,000 US Coast Guard active duty and reserve service members, civilian employees and their families. The contract term is for one year with four one-year option periods.

As part of the contract, ValueOptions will provide a fully integrated EAP consisting of non-medical counseling in a variety of subject areas including Situation/Problem-Solving, Supervisory Consultation Services, Substance Abuse Assessment and Treatment Monitoring, Financial Counseling, Tax Consultation, Education/Career/Employment Counseling, Deployment-related Counseling/Consultation, Critical Incident Stress Management-related services, Legal Counseling, and Health and Wellness Coaching. ValueOptions will serve Coast Guard EAP members from the company's Chesapeake, Virginia service center.
