NEW YORK, July 11, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- United Spinal Association today announced the appointment of Geno Bonetti, an executive healthcare consultant specializing in pre-hospital medicine, rehabilitation and long-term acute care as a member of its Board of Directors.

Bonetti has over 35 years of experience as a healthcare professional. He has worked as a paramedic and therapist as well as holding various executive positions.

Bonetti is currently the VP of Medical Education for the Pennsylvania Medical Cannabis Society. He also coordinates numerous programs including Physician and Clinical Program Development, Operations and Education at various healthcare institutions.
Bonetti was responsible for delivering the first quick response emergency medicine unit in Pittsburgh, PA and technological advances in rehabilitation such as phrenic pacing, deep brain stimulation, tendon transfers, and functional electrical stimulation/biofeedback for assisted walking programs for neurologically impaired individuals.
Throughout his career he has served in various capacities working in Acute Care Hospitals, Rehabilitation, LTACH, Ambulatory Surgery Centers, Orthopedics Sales and Operations.
Bonetti's previous positions include president and CEO at Warm Springs Rehabilitation Hospital of San Antonio, Texas and president at NSEW Health where he was responsible for clinical oversight, operations, margin development, new business development, and sales and marketing in various healthcare specialties.
Bonetti earned his Bachelors of Science and Education from Slippery Rock University in Slippery Rock, PA.
