MACHIPONGO, Va., Aug. 16, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- United Poultry Concerns is calling on comedian Jason Alexander to stop shilling for KFC. Fifteen years ago in 2003, after learning how horribly the chickens are treated by Tyson Foods, the company's supplier, Alexander left KFC in disgust.
Now, despite knowing how badly the chickens are treated, he's back promoting KFC and, by extension, Tyson Foods, the focus of numerous undercover investigations revealing massive and relentless cruelty to chickens. "Alexander's partnership with KFC is no joke. Chickens raised by Tyson for KFC are so lame with pain they can't walk. They go to slaughter full of diseases and are 'washed' in toxic chemicals. They're housed in cesspools, tortured with electricity, and scalded – often while they are still alive and peeping," says United Poultry Concerns president Karen Davis.
Once, Jason Alexander had a heart for the chickens and the courage to speak out. We are calling upon him to resign his post as "Col. Sanders" and, once again, man up.
