MANCHESTER, England, July 29, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Bookie and ardent Manchester United fan Fred Done is tipping Manchester City to win the Premier League in the next 3 years.
Fred Done famously paid out early on Manchester United to win the Premier League in 1998 only for Arsenal to pip his beloved United.
But this year he does not think it will be Manchester United or Arsenal celebrating.
Betfred boss Fred Done said,
"For the first time ever I've decided to push out the odds for Manchester United to win the title and take some cash on the Reds. For me they need a major signing to boost their chances. Chelsea are worthy favourites but I'm beginning to see a lot of cash for City. I know they have not won the league for five hundred years but I think they will go close this season and definitely be crowned Champs in the next three years. That hurts me to say that!"
So although a record 19th title for Manchester United could now prove costly for the bookie he will be happy to be proved wrong.
"United have a huge advantage in having the World's greatest manager in Sir Alex. I hope he phones me in May and says Fred you got it badly wrong, and of course I will be happy to pay out to United fans."
As usual Fred is happy to take on Liverpool and Betfred are now an industry best price of 18/1 for the Merseysiders to win the league.
"I'm afraid for the Liverpool fans the wait to win the league will continue and they will carry on paying for my holidays! Although I do think Roy Hodgson is a good appointment there's still too much uncertainty at Anfield."
