BLUE BELL, Pa., Jan. 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Unisys Brazil has been selected as a member of a consortium to provide mission-critical infrastructure solutions for the 12 Brazilian cities that will host the 2014 World Cup.
Unisys along with Agora Telecom, Comtex and Modulo are members of Brazil Seguro Consortium, which received the contract from the Extraordinary Security Department for Large scale Events (SESGE), part of the Brazilian Ministry of Justice.
Signed in the third quarter of 2013, the agreement has a total estimated value to the consortium of US$110 million (BRL$244 million). For its role in the project, Unisys will provide all infrastructure components to ensure the performance and availability of mission-critical applications running at the data centers.
