Unisys Licenses Next-Generation AirCore Solution to Major Airline Industry IT Solutions Provider

BLUE BELL, Pa., Nov. 30, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS), a long-time provider of mission-critical IT solutions to the airline industry, today announced that it has licensed the full suite of its next-generation Airline Core Systems Solution (AirCore) to another major provider of airline industry IT solutions and services.

Under the agreement, the provider has obtained licensing rights to use all 11 modules of the Unisys AirCore solution – encompassing airline functions such as inventory, reservations, ticketing and check-in – for use in its own airline passenger services solution.

Unisys will continue to develop and offer its AirCore solution directly to the airline industry and to airline service providers.

The Unisys AirCore solution helps airlines improve profitability by providing streamlined processes and business controls. Built as a modular suite of next-generation applications in the Java development language, Unisys AirCore is designed to replace conventional airline reservations, inventory and departure control systems with advanced functionality that helps airlines enhance customer loyalty by improving how they service and sell to their customers.
