NEW YORK, July 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- UNIQLO, the global clothing retailer, will open 10 more U.S. stores in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and California this fall. The new stores will expand the brand's U.S. presence to a total of 17 stores, in addition to the Uniqlo.com online shopping platform which opened in October of 2012.
To staff the new stores, UNIQLO will take on the ambitious plan to hire and train several hundred full-time and part-time employees at all levels.
The new UNIQLO stores represent the company's goal for a continued expansion within the important U.S. market. The new stores will be in shopping centers and retail mall spaces and will all carry the innovative casual clothing UNIQLO provides for Men, Women, and Kids. The 10 new UNIQLO locations are:
Two stores in New Jersey
- Bridgewater Commons Mall in Bridgewater, NJ
- Menlo Park Mall in Edison, NJ
Three stores in New York
- Atlantic Terminal Mall in Brooklyn, NY
- Staten Island Mall in Staten Island, NY
- Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove, NY
One store in Connecticut
- Westfield Trumbull Shopping Center in Trumbull, CT
Four stores in California
- Hillsdale Shopping Center in San Mateo, CA
- Westfield Valley Fair Mall in Santa Clara, CA
- Stonestown Galleria in San Francisco, CA
- Bay Street in Emeryville, CA

There are currently seven open U.S. stores, including three in New York City (5th Ave., 34th St., SoHo New York), two in New York State (Westchester's Ridge Hill, Palisades Center), one in Paramus, NJ (Westfield Garden State Plaza), and one in San Francisco, CA (Union Square).
