Unipol Gruppo Finanziario S.p.A. Teams with CA Technologies to Streamline IT Operations Management

CA Technologies (NASDAQ: CA) today announced that Unipol Gruppo Finanziario S.p.A. (Unipol), a multifaceted insurance and banking group in Italy, is using its Service Assurance, Unified Automation and IT Asset Management solutions to streamline IT operations management.

CA Spectrum® reduces for Unipol the time and cost to manage devices by automating network configuration processes, and providing real-time information to address faults before they are noticed by the end user.

With 3,200 sites in Italy connected to its Information Systems, Unipol needs to measure the quality and availability of connections and Web applications. Measuring real-user transactions through CA APM, Unipol can detect abnormalities before they impact the end user, pinpoint root cause and resolve problems quickly.

Another focal point for Unipol is the need to manage the physical, operational and business aspects of their IT investments. Unipol uses the integration of CA IT Asset Manager and CA Client Automation to simplify IT asset lifecycle management and reduce the complexity arising from managing more than 20,000 assets, which include more than 13,000 PCs.
