Union Market To Host Thread At Dock 5 November 29 -- December 1, 2013

Thread is Union Market's fashion event – a retail salon located in Dock 5, Union Market's second-floor event space – featuring more than 30 local and national unique and independent brands from around the country.

Participating brands include a variety of collections in the fashion, beauty, lifestyle, art and home arenas: Moore and Giles, leather goods and accessories; Follain, healthy, effective and environmentally-friendly skincare products; Mercado Global, artisanal bags and accessories; Ernest Alexander, named one of GQ Magazine's Best New Menswear Designers in America of 2013; Saint Clair Jewelry; local men's collective Mutiny; Richmond's Shockoe Denim; Rebecca Atwood pillows and textiles; and ANTHOM, an international online boutique carrying independent labels, and exclusive capsule collections; among many others.  In addition to showcases by premier retailers and exclusive products, Thread will feature installations and art for sale, curated by Jayme McLellon, Director and Founder of Civilian Art Projects.
