PORTLAND, Ore., Sept. 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- MUFG Union Bank®, N.A. (Union Bank) today announced that Shawn DuBurg and Britton C. Smith, CFA have joined its Portland, Oregon office. DuBurg joins as a Director and Private Wealth Advisor within The Private Bank and reports to Lisa Roberts, Head of Private Wealth Management for Northern California and the Pacific Northwest. Smith joins as a Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager with HighMark Capital Management, Inc. (an SEC-registered investment adviser subsidiary of MUFG Union Bank, N.A.). He reports to Keith Forslund, Portfolio Management Executive for the Pacific Northwest Region.

DuBurg will work with a team of specialists in wealth planning, investments, risk management, trust and estate services, and banking to provide clients tailored products and services. He brings more than 25 years of financial services industry experience. Most recently, he was a commercial banking market leader with Opus Bank. He has also held senior positions at Columbia Bank and Bank of America.
In his role, Smith will manage investment portfolios on behalf of high-net-worth clients, trusts, retirement plans, foundations, and non-profit organizations. He will work with a team of specialists across The Private Bank providing wealth planning, investments, risk management, trust and estate services, and banking advice to clients and their advisors.
Smith has 17 years of investment management experience. Previously, he served as a Senior Portfolio Manager with the Charitable Services Group at U.S. Bank, Nuveen Investments and Santa Barbara Asset Management.
DuBurg earned his BS in Business Management from the University of Phoenix in Arizona and is a graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School. He holds Series 7and 66 securities licenses. Active in the community, he is a Board Member of the Portland Opera and Children First for Oregon and serves on the Leadership Council for the Portland Children's Museum. He also served in the California Air National Guard and was deployed during Operation Desert Storm.
Smith graduated from Amherst College and holds a Master's degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Donald Bren School. He is also a CFA® charterholder. Smith is President of the Board of Young Audiences of Oregon and SW Washington.
