UNICO National Italian & Italian American Heritage 2013 Calendar Featuring Winning Italy Photo Contest Entries Now Available
FAIRFIELD, N.J., Dec. 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- UNICO National released its Italian and Italian American Heritage Calendar for 2013. This year, this beautiful, full-color wall or desk calendar features photos of Italy from winners of the UNICO National Italy Photo Contest.
Notable Italian Americans, Italians and events related to the Italian experience are featured on each day of the year along with other Italian and Italian American information. That's 365 Italian and Italian American Heritage facts as well as other Italian info to learn and enjoy each day of the year. It is an excellent resource for any person interested in Italian and Italian American Heritage and Culture.
"I commend our Anti-Bias Committee for their dedication in producing this great Heritage Calendar each year and extend my hearty congratulations to all of the winners for their beautiful photos of Italy featured in the new Calendar," said David Donnini, UNICO National President.
"It is hard to believe this is already our fourth Calendar," commented Manny Alfano, UNICO National Anti-Bias Chair, who initiated the Calendar project in 2010. "I am so pleased that we can continue to celebrate and preserve our heritage in this way."
"It is important to note that the information from year to year does not repeat, making the Calendars a growing archive of Italian and Italian American Heritage and Cultural information," stated Andre' DiMino, UNICO Past National President and designer of the Calendar. "The series of Calendars is a real keepsake."
In addition, this year the photos of Italy featured throughout the Calendar were selected through a contest for UNICO members. UNICO members from across the USA submitted photos of Italy to be judged to select winners to be published in the Calendar.
"I was amazed at the beautiful and interesting photos received from our members," stated Steve Pelonero, photo editor for the Calendar and Past President, Passaic Valley UNICO. "It was difficult to choose winners because they were all so terrific." The winners of the contest are Joe Cerullo, Hazelton PA Chapter; Lou Crupi, Nutley NJ Chapter; Joseph Grandinetti and Henry Salusti, Scranton PA Chapter; Taylor Kurilew, Plainfields NJ Chapter; Ed Minetti, Raritan Valley NJ Chapter; Sal Nocella and Steve Pelonero, Passaic Valley NJ Chapter; and, Ann Venturino, Clark NJ Chapter.
UNICO National distributes the Calendar across the US through its local chapters. Individual calendars are available from UNICO National for only $6.00 - postage included. Bulk quantities are also available.
