Underscoring the Importance of Continuing Education and Workforce Development, Cengage Learning Announces New General Manager of ed2go
BOSTON, July 31, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- To build upon the company's growth in the continuing education and workforce development markets, Cengage Learning today announced Carrie Doyle as the new General Manager of ed2go. In this role, Doyle leads and manages ed2go's marketing, product development, technology, sales and support services with a focus on the customer. She will build upon the established brand to leverage current content while seeking new opportunities to expand all assets.

Doyle will work with her team at ed2go to further develop flagship products, such as Career Online High School, which has gained strong momentum in the library and workforce development spaces. Most recently featured at CGI America, Cengage Learning's Commitment to Action partnerships were noted for their work in providing scholarships for high school diplomas and advanced degree career certificates to employees in retail, hospitality and food service sectors. Similarly through ed2go, public libraries such as those in Los Angeles and Sacramento, are offering library patrons the opportunity to reengage with the education system and prepare for entry into post-secondary career education or the workforce.
Doyle joins Cengage Learning from Pearson, where she held various positions over her ten-year tenure. Most recently, she served as the Vice President of Emerging Models where she was responsible for bringing ingenuity, profit, and scale through unique educational solutions, collaboration, partnerships and models. Prior to that, Doyle was the Vice President of Pearson Custom Curriculum, whose primary focus was on the analysis, design, development, marketing, sale and evaluation of custom curriculum.
Doyle holds a BA in Communication from Arizona State University and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. She will be based at ed2go's office in Temecula, CA.
