TORONTO, Nov. 9, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Announced today, Unata, the leading provider of 1-to-1 digital solutions for grocers, has been named as one of North America's fastest growing technology companies in the 20th annual Deloitte Technology Fast 50™ and Fast 500™ program, ranking 11th and 52nd, respectively.
The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 program winners are made up of public and private companies in the technology sector that share common traits and strengths and have transformed the industry. Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, the program augments the broader Deloitte North American Technology Fast 500TM initiative with winners automatically eligible for this elite ranking.
This marks the first time Toronto-based Unata has been awarded a spot in the technology awards program. Within the past four years, Unata has experienced a revenue growth of 3,298 percent. Unata's award winning digital grocery platform is at the heart of their success, and currently powers digital customer experiences for 11 different grocery retailers across North America, collectively representing more than 1,300 stores.
"When we first set out in 2011, our intent was to transform a traditionally brick-and-mortar industry into a digital one. Nearly six years later, we're being honored by one of the most recognizable programs in North America for that same determination and drive," says Marc Faucher, COO & CFO. "As our revenue grows, so does our investment in disrupting the grocery industry one technological advancement at a time."
"New technologies have disrupted various industries in ways that were unimaginable a few years ago," said Erica Pretorius, Partner and National Leader for the Technology Fast 50TM program at Deloitte Canada. "Fast 50 winners have led the way and I can't wait to see where they take us next."
