UMC Receives Best Supplier Award from Lantiq for Second Straight Year
2013 award underscores UMC's commitment to delivering consistently high quality to customers
HSINCHU, Taiwan, Jan. 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- United Microelectronics Corporation (NYSE: UMC; TSE: 2303) ("UMC"), a leading global semiconductor foundry, today announced that it has received the "Best Supplier Award" from Lantiq for 2013. This is the second straight year that UMC has been awarded this honor. Lantiq presents this award annually to one selected supplier for their contributions to the company's success. The award was presented to UMC's CEO Mr. Po Wen Yen by Lantiq's COO Mr. Dominik Bilo.
