Uma Thurman And Kuato Studios Launch Dino Tales and Safari Tales In North America At The American Museum Of Natural History
New interactive games champion education through technology
NEW YORK, July 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Uma Thurman and Kuato Studios, the world's leading learning-through-games studio, launched two revolutionary educational games last night to a crowd of excitable parents, children, and celebrities in the Theodore Roosevelt Rotunda at the American Museum of Natural History.
Golden Globe-winning actress and Hollywood royalty, Uma Thurman, entertained 300 parents and eager kids to kickoff and celebrate the North American launch of Dino Tales™ and Safari Tales™, educational video games designed to strengthen literacy, reasoning, and enquiry skills - in and beyond the classroom. Children and parents were able to experience the games on interactive large screens throughout the museum – where dinosaurs and wildlife were brought to life like never before.
"Having three children of my own, literacy is of the utmost importance to me in their education. I have seen just how much technology is progressing in this area and how it is becoming more and more important in their everyday lives," said Uma of the partnership. "I am really impressed by the work that Kuato Studios is doing. They are making innovative and exciting games that kids want to play and that I, as a parent, want them to play too. I am so happy to support and help spread this message in raising awareness for how technology can play a valuable role in the future of our children's education."
"As game creators and educators, Kuato Studios' goal is guilt-free gaming. Through Safari Tales and Dino Tales our aim is to enhance literacy and learning by harnessing the power of engagement that comes with playing great games," said Kris Turvey, Creative Director at Kuato Studios. "We wanted to celebrate in the only way we know how – through real engagement and learning – with a special interactive evening of adventure for kids, hosted by the wonderful Uma Thurman at the American Museum of Natural History."
To further their commitment to learning through technology, Kuato Studios North America has partnered with Reading Is Fundamental® (RIF), the largest children's literacy nonprofit in the United States. "RIF and Kuato Studios are two organizations working to enhance literacy and education throughout the country," states Carol H. Rasco, president and CEO of Reading Is Fundamental. "We are thankful for their support to promote children's literacy and access to books – both in print and digital formats, and look forward to enhancing the lives of children, especially those from economically disadvantaged communities."
Dino Tales and Safari Tales are available now on iOS and Android platforms at $3.99. More information is available at www.dinotalesgame.com and www.safaritalesgame.com.
