MVNO serving foreign-born people living in U.S. offers more minutes, data
COSTA MESA, Calif., June 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Ultra Mobile, the mobile operator known for keeping people connected with families and friends overseas, today announced a series of significant upgrades to its entire product portfolio that give subscribers more minutes of talk or data usage.
Ultra Mobile, which focuses on the estimated 40 million foreign-born people living in the United States who regularly call or text internationally, said it is adding 26 countries and three territories to its unlimited international talk bundle. The upgrade includes important international destinations such as Bangladesh, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Israel and Poland on all International Plans $29 and up.
The company said that subscribers who prefer Ultra Mobile's $34 and $44 Data Plus Plans – which offer a heavier measure of 4G LTE data – would also be upgraded. Users of the $34 plan will be converted from 1,000 minutes of nationwide voice to unlimited talk, while consumers who choose the $44 plan will see their available data plan upgraded from 2.5 gigabits of 4G LTE usage per month to 4 gigabits. Hong Kong was also added to the list of unlimited international destinations for the $19, $34, and $44 plans.
