UL Warns of Unauthorized UL Mark on Thermoplastic-Insulated Wire
PUBLIC NOTICE
NORTHBROOK, Ill., Dec. 12, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- UL is notifying Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), consumers, electrical contractors, electricians and retailers the wire identified below is not authorized to bear the UL Mark. Although the wire is marked 105 degrees and VW‑1, the wire has not been evaluated for these ratings. It is unknown if this wire complies with UL safety requirements for these ratings.
