UL Warns of Potentially Hazardous Floodlight Landscape Lighting

NORTHBROOK, Ill., Jan. 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- UL is notifying consumers, retailers and distributors that the Floodlight Landscape Lighting identified below may pose a risk of electric shock. The product does not comply with UL's safety requirements and is not eligible to bear the UL Mark for the United States or Canada.
Name of Product: Landscape Lighting Models LF-01, LF-02, LF-03, and LF-04. Packaging marked as Nuvo Lighting, A Satco Product, Item Number 76-645, 76-646, 76-647 and 76-648.
Number of Units: 1320 units of LF-04, 3120 units of LF-03, 5760 units of LF-02, unknown quantity of LF-01.
Manufacturer: Packaging is marked Satco Products, Inc., Brentwood, New York. Made in China. Product is manufactured by Lancai Plus Co. Ltd., China.
Date of Manufacture: January 2010 through August 2011.
Hazard: The lens cover may allow water to enter the housing and contact internal electrical connections -- posing a risk of electric shock.
A label attached to the interior of the lamp housing contains one of the following information:
