UL Warns of Counterfeit UL Mark on Work Light String

NORTHBROOK, Ill., March 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- UL is notifying consumers and retailers that the Power Fist 50ft work light string identified below bears a counterfeit UL Mark for the United States and Canada.  The Power Fist 50ft work light string has not been evaluated by UL to the appropriate Standard for Safety, and it is unknown if the product complies with the UL safety requirements for the United States or Canada.

Identification: The following marking is printed in the box and engraved on the product: 

The description on the color box also reads:

Power Fist 50ft Work Light String
14/3 SJTW cord
Five 125 volt mounts with plastic cages
Max 150 watt bulb in each mount
