NORTHBROOK, Ill., March 13, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- The following is a notification from UL that the fire sprinklers identified below bear counterfeit UL Certification Marks for the United States and Canada. The fire sprinklers have not been evaluated by UL to the appropriate Standards for Safety and it is unknown if they comply with any safety requirements.
Although the fire sprinklers are marked with the name "GLOBE," the fire sprinklers were not manufactured or labeled by the Globe Fire Sprinkler Company.
Name of Product: GLOBE (no model designation is on the device)
Remedy: UL recommends that these products be immediately removed from service and be replaced with UL Certified Fire Sprinklers.
Identification on the Product: The products are marked with a counterfeit UL Certification Mark on the deflector along with the following:

The glass bulb is marked with the name "Job" and "F5." The name, "GLOBE," is marked on the sprinkler body.
