UL Elevates Dialogue on Energy and the Smart Grid Home at 2012 CES Conference
Renewable energy industry leaders demystify emerging Smart Grid issues for consumers and businesses
NORTHBROOK, Ill., Dec. 12, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- UL (Underwriters Laboratories), a world leader in advancing safety, today announced it will present "Energy and the Smart Grid Home," a panel series comprised of UL renewable energy experts and in partnership with 2012 CES conference track sessions. The UL-moderated discussions will explore energy savings and generation as well as the LED transformation on January 12, 2012, at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC).

Panelists will share how businesses can impact product development, the supply chain and product choice for consumers with an enhanced grasp of LED technology. Panelist representation includes UL, American Lighting Association, Philips Lighting North America and Lutron Electronics.
Energy Generation: How to Play in the Space
2:30-3:30 p.m. Thursday, January 12 LVCC, North Hall, N262
Panelists will illuminate the often confusing subject of energy generation, which includes solar and wind, among others, and help clarify what providers need to know to best optimize opportunities. Panelist representation includes UL, Solar Energy Industries Association, Pecan Street, Inc. and SANYO (USA) Corporation.
Energy Savings: Shaping the Future
4-5 p.m. Thursday, January 12 LVCC, North Hall, N262
Panelists will share how manufacturers and retailers can support the continued transition to "Energy Efficiency," benefitting from it by ultimately becoming industry leaders. Panelist representation includes UL, Samsung, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), LG Electronics and Information Technology Industry Council.
