UL Announces New President of Product Safety Business Unit
Benjamin Miller named as new President of UL's Largest Business Unit
NORTHBROOK, Ill., April 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- UL, a world leader in advancing safety, is pleased to name Benjamin J. Miller as President of the UL Product Safety Business. Miller will join UL in early June, bringing a strong background in international management as well as extensive experience accelerating growth and innovation. Miller comes to UL from Cummins, Inc., where he has held several senior roles over the past seven years, most recently as the global Managing Director for Cummins Generator Technologies, a $900M Cummins division that is a global leader serving the power generation industry. Miller led the business to record sales and profits, while accelerating its entry into several new businesses.

Prior to joining Cummins, Miller served as a Partner and Managing Director at Monitor Group, a leading worldwide strategy consulting and private equity group. Previously, Miller spent six years with Sweetheart Cup and American Industrial Partners where he led the organization to step-order improvements in innovation, profitability and customer satisfaction.
Ben earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Computer Science from Williams College and a Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Engineering from Stanford University.
