UhaulCarShare Now Available at Grand Canyon University Just in Time for the Fall Semester

PHOENIX, Aug. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- UhaulCarShare is partnering with Grand Canyon University in providing advanced car-sharing services to its community of students, faculty and staff. Grand Canyon University now will have more transportation options, allowing individuals to maintain a sustainable lifestyle in one cost-effective and convenient package.

For the start of the 2013 fall semester, UhaulCarShare is placing two vehicles on campus-- a 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid and a 2013 Toyota Scion.  These brand-new vehicles will be parked on campus at Lot 4 Section C across from Camelback Hall. Membership for the use of these vehicles will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to the Grand Canyon University community.  Each UhaulCarShare vehicle takes up to 20 personally owned vehicles off the road, reduces parking congestion and improves air quality.

UhaulCarShare has a unique-yet-flexible rate system that allows members 18 years of age and older to enjoy all the benefits of driving without having to worry about overpaying for mileage.  Drivers pay only for what they use, by reserving a car for as little as an hour or for up to three days.  Rates start at $4.95 per hour (plus $0.59 per mile). For those who drive longer distances, UhaulCarShare offers a capped rate which includes 180 free miles. The Ford C-Max can be reserved at $9 per hour or $68 per day and the Toyota Scion at $8 per hour or $64 per day. There is no start-up application fee or annual membership dues.
